Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Sermoneer collects, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have. Sermoneer is run by Sermon Company Co., Ltd. (“we,” “us”), which is responsible for your personal information.

What we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider), church name and role if you give them, and, if you sign in with Google, the name, email, and profile photo Google shares with us.
• Your content: sermon manuscripts, files, and video links you provide, images you upload (like a church logo), and everything Sermoneer generates for you, including short video clips.
• Usage information: pages you visit, features you use, buttons you click, how you found us, device and browser type, time zone, and approximate location, collected through Google Analytics and our own usage logs. Our logs don't record what you type or your sermon text.
• Technical logs: IP address, timestamps, and error details our servers record for security and troubleshooting.
• Messages you send us: when you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you.

Because Sermoneer is built for ministry, what you give us may reveal religious beliefs. We use it only to provide the service you asked for. We never use it to profile you or for advertising.

How we use it

• To run Sermoneer: process your sermons and return what you request.
• To sign you in and keep your account secure.
• To prevent abuse and keep the service stable.
• To answer you when you contact us.
• To send service emails, like confirming your email address or resetting your password. If we ever send product news, every email will include an unsubscribe link.
• To improve Sermoneer using aggregate usage patterns and error rates. We don't read your individual sermons, except to fix a problem you report, with your permission, or when the law requires it.

AI processing

To generate your material, we send your sermon text (and, for short video captions, the audio of the clip) to AI providers: Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini, through Google Cloud Vertex AI and the Gemini API), and OpenAI (speech-to-text). They process it only to return results to us. Under their business API terms, these providers don't use it to train their models. We don't use your content to train AI models either.

Service providers

We share information only with providers that help us run Sermoneer, and only what each one needs:

• Supabase: sign-in, database, and file storage.
• Vercel: website hosting.
• Railway: hosting for our backend servers.
• Anthropic, Google Cloud, OpenAI: AI processing, as described above.
• Resend: delivery of account emails.
• Google Analytics: site usage statistics.
• Network providers: used to fetch the videos you link so we can make short clips.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or to a buyer if Sermoneer is ever merged or sold (the buyer would remain bound by this policy).

Short video links

Short video files you create are stored at long, hard-to-guess links so you can download and share them. Anyone who has a link can open that file without signing in, so share links only with people you intend to.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and, through Google Analytics, to understand how the site is used. We don't use advertising cookies. We also keep a random ID in your browser so our usage logs can tell one visitor from another. You can block cookies in your browser (you won't be able to sign in without them) and opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on servers in the United States. Our team is in the Republic of Korea and accesses it from there to operate and support the service. Wherever your data is processed, we protect it as this policy describes.

How long we keep it

• Your content: until you delete it or close your account.
• Account: until you ask us to delete it. We delete your account and linked content within 30 days of your request; backup copies are overwritten within about 30 days after that.
• Technical logs: up to 90 days.
• Emails with us: as long as needed to help you, and to keep records the law requires.

Security

We encrypt data in transit, restrict access to the people who need it to run the service, and keep passwords only as secure hashes. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we'll notify you as the law requires.

Your rights and choices

• Access: see your sermons and account details in the app anytime, or ask us for a copy of your data.
• Correct: update your details, or ask us to.
• Delete: delete a sermon in the app, or email us to delete your whole account.
• Download: download generated material from each sermon page.
• Object or withdraw consent: stop using the service or close your account anytime.

Email contact@seolgyo-ai.comfrom the address on your account. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We'll respond within 30 days, and we won't treat you differently for using these rights.

U.S. state privacy rights

If you live in California or another U.S. state with a consumer privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to have it deleted or corrected; and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. In the past 12 months we collected identifiers (name, email), account records, internet activity (usage data), and the content you provided, from you and your device, for the purposes described above. We don't sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, and we use information that may reveal religious beliefs only to provide the service. You may use an authorized agent to make a request; we'll ask the agent for proof of your permission.

Visitors from the EU and UK

We process your information to provide the service you signed up for (contract), to keep it secure and improve it (legitimate interests), and where you've agreed (consent). You may also have the right to restrict processing and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Sermoneer is for adults in ministry. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we update this policy, we change the effective date at the top. For material changes, we'll email the address on your account before they take effect.
